Halloween is Coming!
As Halloween approaches and students’ excitement and creativity builds, please keep in mind school rules around Halloween costumes:
- No weapons of any kinds (not even pretend ones)
 - No full face coverage (masks, bodysuits, etc.)...face paint is totally okay!
 - Be sensitive with “gore”...too much/too realistic can be a trigger for some. (If you’re unsure, talk to Ms. Roberts or Ms. Aikens…they’re the experts!)
 - Learning needs to continue!! If students can’t sit and work comfortably in their costume…then it’s not school appropriate.

IPPs
If your child is on an IPP, they should have brought it home one day this week. Please review the IPP and return the signature page by Oct. 18. Please reach out to the homeroom teacher if you have any questions about it.
Inktober
For the month of October, students at SJF are invited to participate in Inktober! This is an international arts-based activity where artists across the world create a post-it size ink art piece based on a daily prompt. Students at SJF can explore the prompts from the original or ‘classic’ Inktober, or work in any medium responding to a set of Halloween-themed prompts for the month. More details are posted outside the Drama Room, and students can also drop off pieces if they would like to share on our Inktober board there!
