Halloween is Coming!

As Halloween approaches and students’ excitement and creativity builds, please keep in mind school rules around Halloween costumes:

  • No weapons of any kinds (not even pretend ones)
  • No full face coverage (masks, bodysuits, etc.)...face paint is totally okay!!
  • Be sensitive with “gore”...too much/too realistic can be a trigger for some.  (If you’re unsure, talk to Ms. Roberts or Ms. Aikens…they’re the experts!)
  • Learning needs to continue!!  If students can’t sit and work comfortably in their costume…then it’s not school appropriate.

Reminder: Basketball Hosting

Our basketball division chair reminded all schools that student guests are not permitted at ANY game without a parent/guardian with them.  When we are hosting games at SJF, student spectators without a parent/guardian are welcome for the FIRST game only (providing SJF is scheduled to play the first game).  When SJF spectators are asked to leave at 5:30, we kindly ask that they leave school property, as we do not have supervision outside at that time.  Students wishing to return for subsequent games must come back with a parent or guardian.
